Summer Reads: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

It's time for another summer reads. I'm sailing out this summer with a book called We were liars by author E. Lockhart. It's about a mysterious group of friends in a mysterious island of family mysteries! Mystery is key word here haha! (I am just getting started with the word use don't worry.)
"We are Sinclairs. Beautiful. Privileged. Damaged. Liars. We live, in the summertime on a private island off the coast of Massachusetts. And perhaps that is all you need to know."
There's really nothing more to say.. Except that the protagonist annoyed me so much. It is really quiet a summer to remember and you feel like you are really there with the characters of the book experiencing these things with them.. But.. It's a he'll of a ride!
It reminds me of the movie the uninvited. If you've never heard of it don't Google it, you'll be just fine trust me. They have the same atmosphere and a lot of similarities in a way.. Sometimes I think the author was inspired by it even.. Just more friendlier and younger and something gossip girl lovers would like!
I don't know why I always look for a book with a nice cover and expect it to be a really gory read because that's what I like but obviously it looks like a teen flick but it's one of the few mystery books printed in English that they carry in my local book store.. so naturally I had to read it. It has its good moments.. It's a good summer fling! Wink!
